What is a Wheel Alignment

What is a Wheel Alignment

What is a Wheel Alignment? Your vehicle’s alignment is important for your safety, fuel efficiency, and overall vehicle performance!

What’s involved in an alignment and why are they beneficial?

Simply put: your Suspension is the connecting element between your Car and the road. If your Alignment is out, one of our trained Technicians will make adjustments to the Steering and Suspension system to get the system’s components back in line with the Vehicle’s Factory Specifications.

That’s the what…here’s the why!

  • Tire life: Uneven Tire Wear can shorten the lifespan of your Tires, causing you to have to replace them sooner. We want you to get the most out of your investment…and Tires are definitely an investment!
  • Safety: Your Vehicle’s Alignment affects your car's handling. If it’s out of whack it can make it harder to control in emergencies.
  • Fuel efficiency: When your Wheels aren't properly aligned, your Car needs to work harder to drive in a straight line, which reduces gas mileage.
  • Fewer auto repairs: YES! We actually WANT to help you save money! Even, a little jolt from something like a bump or pothole could cause way more damage to your Tires and Suspension system if the Alignment is off. Spending a small amount of money on a Wheel Alignment can prevent bigger repairs down the road (Pun intended!).
  • Comfort: When your Vehicle is out of Alignment, it can also cause vibrations and make for a bumpy ride.

Here are some common signs that your car may need its Alignment Checked:

  • Your car pulls to one side or another while driving.
  • There is a Vibration In The Steering Wheel.
  • Your Tire Treads are wearing unevenly.
  • Your Steering wheel isn't centered while driving straight.

How often should your Wheel Alignment be checked? It's recommended to have the Alignment checked every 6 months or 6,000 miles. A lot can happen in that span of time & mileage! However, if you hit a curb, pothole, or other road hazard, you’ll want to call us sooner to have it checked.
